NSW Coal Port Gantry Project

Large-scale industrial shutdowns require more than just access—they rely on robust containment systems that can perform in harsh conditions while keeping critical maintenance works on schedule. This project at a NSW Coal Port gantry involved extensive blast and paint works alongside structural remediation, requiring a fully enclosed environment capable of withstanding the demands of an exposed industrial site.

Installed by Rize Scaffold, with support from Layher Australia, the project incorporated more than 200 tonnes of scaffold and 23,040 m² of Safe Seal Wrap to create a fully weatherproof containment system. Designed to protect both the workforce and the surrounding environment, the enclosure provided a secure space for blasting, painting, and structural repairs to continue safely throughout the shutdown.

One of the biggest challenges was the site's exposure to the elements. Throughout the four-month project, Safe Seal Wrap withstood sustained winds of 60–90 km/h, maintaining its integrity and allowing works to continue without interruption. The durability and performance of the containment system helped the client stay on schedule while maintaining high safety and environmental standards.

Projects of this scale demonstrate why Safe Seal continues to be trusted on Australia's most demanding industrial and mining sites. Engineered for strength, weather resistance, and long-term performance, it provides contractors with confidence that their containment system will perform when conditions are at their toughest.

At Shrink Safe, we're proud to support projects like this by supplying next-generation containment solutions that help Australia's leading contractors deliver safe, efficient, and reliable results.
